Dr. George Gates

Dr. George Gates, DMin, MA, LPC-S, NCC

Dr. Gates is a licensed professional counselor, a national board certified counselor and is faith-based.  He earned his doctorate from Boston University and his master's degree in clinical psychology from Marshall University.  He has undergone extensive training in the cognitive behavioral psychotherapy model.

Lynn Parker Johnson, MSW, LCSW

Lynn Parker Johnson, MSW, LCSW

Lynn is a licensed clinical social worker; she earned her master's degree from East Carolina University. Lynn has been a middle-school teacher and guidance counselor in the public school system and the Family and Developmental Specialist at New Hanover Regional's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).  She is also infant-toddler certified (pending final review). Lynn is looking forward to meeting with the individuals and family in our area.

Linda Oldham Ikle

Linda Oldham Iklť, Ph.D.

Dr. Iklť is a licensed psychologist with 26 years of experience in the evaluation of mental health disorders and developmental disabilities. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Denver and she has a Masterís degree in education as well as one in psychology. She has worked with multidisciplinary teams evaluating children and adults with developmental disabilities and mental health problems since 1983. She has also been involved in longitudinal research on children with high-risk birth conditions and high-risk environmental conditions since 1978.  She taught at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where she was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Psychology.

Dr. David L. Crenshaw D.Min. LMFT LCAS

Dr. Crenshaw is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a licensed clinical addictions specialist.  With over 30 years of experience. He earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling.  He has extensive training in couples therapy and addiction.  Other trainings include Imago Therapy for couples, and HeartMath, which helps clients to reduces stress.  Dr. Crenshaw has  numerous awards for professional and community service, including South Carolinaís Outstanding Young Religious Leader, and the Human Service Award for Darlington County.  His theoretical orientations include Family Systems Theory, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.  He also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Strength-Based Therapies.  He seeks to facilitate healing, growth, as well as enhance  life skills.

Lisa Capell Blackmon

Your life is meant to be enjoyed. Letís get to that place together! Iím Lisa Capell Blackmon; a native of Wilmington, NC. I attended UNCW for a degree in Psychology, and earned a Masterís degree in Counseling in 1995 from The Citadel. As a practitioner with years of formal training and a myriad of life experiences, I have much practice in listening therapeutically to understand, assess, and diagnose. I've worked for The Center for Mood and Anxiety Programs and The Center for Drug and Alcohol Programs at the Medical University of South Carolina as well as in many other settings. I would be honored to help you get 'unstuck'!

From me, you will receive compassion, support & a good deal of candor. I offer real feedback. We will partner together move in a positive direction. I am a therapist who after understanding the problem at hand, likes to stay solution focused. We will use your own wisdom about yourself in conjunction with my training to help you be your best self.
